Are we breathing our bodies, or are our bodies breathing us?
And what difference does it make, if it matters at all?
Join me, in-studio at Yoga Refuge, this February for
BREATHING THE MINDFUL BREATH: A Course in Conscious Breathwork
This winter embark on a journey to rediscover your breath.
Did you know that conscious breathing (that’s YOU breathing your body) can be an effective tool for nervous system regulation; promoting mental, emotional, and physical well-being?
Breath awareness and simple breathing techniques (pranayama) can support you:
when you are fatigued or stressed
with emotional regulation (anxiety and depression)
and to increase focus and concentration
Integrating simple breathing techniques into your daily self-care routines can also support you in your quest to maintain healthy:
heart rate variability (HRV)
respiratory and cardiovascular function
blood pressure regulation
immune function
circulation to your organs
circulation of your lymphatic system
digestion and elimination
This 2-week series meets in the Wellness Room at Yoga Refuge. ***SPACE IS LIMITED***
We meet 2 Thursdays, February 6 & 13
6 - 7:30pm to explore down-regulating breathwork for stress relief, relaxation, and rest.
We meet 2 Saturdays, February 8 & 15
12 - 1:30pm to explore invigorating breathwork for increased focus, concentration, and stimulation.
